Traffic Light Protocol (TLP)

dotNET lab uses the Traffic Light Protocol to clarify who you may share information with. The label on a message or document sets that boundary.

Who can you share it with?

TLP:CLEAR
Free to share

No TLP sharing restrictions. Copyright still applies.

TLP:GREEN
Within the community

With peers and partners in the relevant community. Never publicly or outside that community.

TLP:AMBER+STRICT
Own organisation only

The stricter AMBER variant: internal sharing on a need-to-know basis. Excludes clients.

TLP:AMBER
Organisation and clients

Only with those who need the information to protect the organisation or its clients.

TLP:RED
Recipients only

Do not share further, including with colleagues.
