We reinforce IT teams across the Benelux with experienced consultants and carefully screened freelancers. No stack of CVs, but the colleague who fits your team.
Every consultant and freelancer is screened before they start with you.
The right match, not a pile
Forwarding ten CVs is easy. We look for the person who fits your team and context.
One consultant, 40+ experts behind them
If your consultant gets stuck somewhere, the knowledge house stands ready with the answer.
We build software ourselves
From analysis to maintenance: we know the pitfalls and help behind the scenes in ways other consultancy firms cannot.
We grow together
Your success is our success. So we help you with more than just a strong IT profile.
Trusted by organisations with critical digital questions
The trade-off
Hiring or IT consultancy?
Open a vacancy or bring in a consultant? Both choices can be right, but they bring in something different. A direct hire delivers exactly one head, and the recruitment, onboarding and follow-up are yours.
With IT consultancy from dotNET lab, a knowledge house stands behind that one person. If your solution architect gets stuck on a security question, a cloud migration or a data model, they bring in the colleague with exactly that specialisation. The knowledge house builds software itself from analysis to maintenance, with development, security, cloud and identity under one roof. You pay for one profile and get that full critical eye with it.
→
IT consultancy fits when the need is now, the expertise does not fill a full-time role, or you are not yet sure which profile solves the problem.
→
Hiring fits when the role permanently belongs to your core and you have the time to recruit, onboard and follow up yourself.

More than capacity
Extra hands are no longer scarce; AI provides those too. Scarce is someone who understands, thinks along and translates.
Temporary permanent reinforcement needed?
Missing a specific expertise?
Someone who can join an existing team soon tomorrow?
A small crew for a well-defined piece of responsibility?
We help you get that question sharp.
What is the problem behind the profile request?
Which expertise is really needed?
Which maturity fits the team?
Which expectations must be clear up front?
So you do not get a CV to figure out on your own, but a colleague who understands the challenge with you.
Why dotNET lab
More than finding the right profile
dotNET lab is a software company itself. We build solutions from analysis and development to maintenance, so we know the reality and the pitfalls of a software project from our own experience.
So our role does not stop once a consultant has started.
Among ourselves we sometimes call that “being in the same boat” : we stay involved, follow up and think along when needed.
Not from the sidelines, but as a partner of your team, with the same goal: making sure people, technology and collaboration keep working in the long run.

only the best matches
We only put forward profiles we would hire ourselves. No promise of perfection, but of experience and commitment to see it through together.
A software company ourselves
We build software from A to Z. That lets us assess expertise on substance and spot sooner where an assignment could get stuck technically.
Fit over speed
Technical fit, the match with your team and practical matters such as location and travel time take priority over forwarding quickly.
Flexible agreements
We align on both sides, with you and with the consultant or freelancer, until form, duration and expectations work for everyone.
In the same boat
After the start we stay involved. If something gets stuck, we work along behind the scenes and use our own experience of building software to support you.
The concrete fill-in depends on the request. These are the profiles asked for most often.

What we offer
Every form, every size
Sometimes one consultant is enough, sometimes a composed crew: at an SME without its own IT team or in an established IT department. Whatever form it takes, we are ready for your project.
Technical sparring
Support in sharpening profile requests, technical expectations, architecture choices or project approach.
Freelance expertise
Carefully screened freelancers from a network of more than 1,100 profiles, backed by the dotNET lab matching approach and soon the IT4ITservices platform.
IT consultants
Experienced professionals who work in your team or project, temporarily or structurally.
Composed teams
A targeted combination of profiles for projects or assignments that need several kinds of expertise together.

When it helps
When reinforcing your IT team helps
Organisations usually come to us when more is needed than quickly forwarding a profile. These are the six situations we see most often.
Your IT team temporarily needs extra capacity
A project has to move forward, but the team is at capacity. Then we look for reinforcement that can land quickly and knows clearly what is expected.
You are missing specific expertise
For example around .NET, cloud, security, architecture, DevOps, analysis, integration or identity. We look at which knowledge is needed and how to put it to work.
You want less risk of a mismatch
A CV says a lot, but not everything. Technical fit, communication, independence and team context matter at least as much.
Your project needs a composed team
Sometimes a single profile is not enough. Then a small combination of expertise can work better than loose reinforcement.
You want a partner who thinks along technically
We do not only supply people. We also understand the technical context they have to work in.
You want reinforcement without extra people management
We take on the training, coaching and personal growth of our people ourselves, among others via dotNET academy. You get a strong colleague, not the care around them.
And when it fits less well
Sometimes consultancy is simply not the right form for the question.
You mainly need extra hands for routine work where specific expertise makes little difference. Tip: often custom software solves that routine work for good.
The assignment cannot be scoped and there is no internal point of contact to align with.
The knowledge must not leave the organisation and no handover moment is planned.
The budget only allows the lowest hourly rate. Then price beats fit, and that is rarely the cheapest outcome.
Track record
Where our experience comes from
dotNET lab is the consultancy brand of a group that has been building software and reinforcing IT teams since 2000. That history shapes how we look at expertise.
25+years
of experience in software and IT consultancy
Our people have been building software for Belgian organisations since 2000. Enough technology cycles to know which choices hold up and which will be ripped out again in three years.

Screened, not passed along
Every freelancer in our network is screened before they reach a client: technical depth, experience and way of working. Only then do we look at whether the profile fits your request.
Training in-house
Via dotNET academy we take on the training, coaching and growth of our consultants ourselves.
Real colleagues
Whoever starts with you gets to know your processes, your people and your habits. The right questions only come once you understand the story behind the work.
Certificates and recognitions in the team
Awarded by external parties, not by ourselves. This list grows with the team.
We do not believe in forwarding as many CVs as possible. A good match starts earlier.
01
We understand the request
We listen to the context, the technical environment, the team dynamics, the timing and the expectations.
02
We sharpen the expertise need
Together we determine which knowledge, experience and maturity are really needed.
03
We search with focus
We search in our own team of 40+ experts and in a network of more than 1,100 screened freelancers. Permanent, freelance or a combination: the choice follows from the request.
04
We test the fit
We look at technical quality, experience, communication and independence, but also at the match with your team and practical matters such as location and travel time.
05
We follow up
A good match does not stop at the start. We stay involved where that is useful.
For freelance matching, dotNET lab is starting up its own platform: IT4ITservices. Today we already work with more than 1,100 screened freelancers, and that network grows every month.
The platform will structure freelancer expertise, availability and preferences better. For clients, dotNET lab remains the point of contact: the quality promise, context analysis and follow-up stay with us.
IT4ITservices will support the freelance matching. dotNET lab remains the technical partner for the client.
Who it is for
The organisations we work for
We work for organisations that need technical capacity or expertise and value quality and fit: from SMEs without their own IT team, to scale-ups growing fast, to larger organisations and public institutions with an established IT department.
For an SME we are often the experienced IT partner who thinks along; for larger organisations we deliver targeted reinforcement in a team that is already running. The common denominator is not the size, but the need for expertise that fits the context.
Where we work
We work from Westerlo for clients across Flanders. In practice that is mostly organisations in the province of Antwerp, the Kempen, Limburg and the Antwerp-Brussels-Ghent axis, on site or hybrid.
IT consultancy is bringing in external IT expertise that works inside your own organisation: not on your payroll, but fully part of your team, your project and your technical environment. The question that really matters: is it about advice, about execution, or about both? That determines which profile you need.
What does an IT consultant do?
An IT consultant brings in knowledge and experience your team is missing, temporarily or structurally. That can be hands-on (developing, analysing, testing, automating) or advisory (testing architecture choices, preparing a migration, sharpening a technical approach). In most assignments the two mix: someone who builds along and guards the direction at the same time.
What does an IT consultant at dotNET lab cost?
That depends on the profile, the seniority, the duration and how specialised the assignment is. We do not work with a fixed rate card, because a junior developer and a solution architect with fifteen years of experience are not comparable. Once the request is sharp, we make a concrete proposal. That sharpening costs you nothing. The notice period is typically one month and negotiable at the start: a collaboration continues because it works, not because the contract forces it.
Can you supply a lead developer, application architect or solution architect?
Yes. Architecture and technical leadership are a core of what we offer: lead developers, technical leads, application architects and solution architects, with a centre of gravity on .NET and Azure. Such a request often starts with sharpening what the role actually has to solve; we help with that too.
Do you do IT staffing, staff augmentation or team extension?
Yes. They are different names for what we do: experienced IT profiles that reinforce your team, temporarily or structurally. Whether you call it IT staffing, staff augmentation, team extension or secondment, the approach stays the same.
Are you an IT temp agency, or do you do interim management?
Neither in the classic sense. We are an IT consultancy firm that builds software itself, from analysis to maintenance. We select on technical fit, stay involved on substance during the assignment and do not forward profiles we could not assess ourselves.
Is ICT consultancy the same as IT consultancy?
Yes. IT consultancy, ICT consultancy and IT consulting are used interchangeably and mean the same thing. We do not make that distinction.
Which region do you work in?
We work from Westerlo, in the province of Antwerp, for clients across Flanders. On site or hybrid, depending on what the assignment requires.
