Freelance Functional Analyst

As a Functional Analyst, you will strengthen a development team within an organisation with a strong societal role. You will work closely with internal employees and dotNET lab consultants. You will take ownership of the functional process from start to finish.

What will you do?

• Identify business needs and translate them into clear functional analyses and user stories.
• Coordinate regularly with stakeholders, developers and other people involved.
• Support the development team with functional questions and decisions.
• Follow up on implementation and safeguard functional quality.
• Present new functionality during sprint demos.
• Help improve the functional analysis process and working methods.
• Look beyond a single application or process and help identify connections and dependencies across the wider application landscape.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Functional Analyst who moves comfortably between business and development.

• You have several years of experience as a Functional Analyst in software or digitalisation projects.
• You are skilled at translating business needs into clear functional analyses and user stories.
• You have experience with Agile/Scrum and enjoy working closely with developers and stakeholders.
• You are comfortable in a complex application landscape and can assess connections and dependencies effectively.
• You communicate clearly, ask the right questions and are willing to think critically.
• You work independently and take responsibility while valuing collaboration within the team.

What can you expect?

The team works according to Agile/Scrum, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

Collaboration, ownership and clear communication are important.

The assignment is hybrid, with an average of one day per week at the office in Brussels.
