Coteng looking for IT talent: strong IT recruitment with dotNET academy

Driven IT juniors with enough experience and technical baggage? Coteng, a software developer from Antwerp, was looking for the right person to strengthen its development team.

That question was made for dotNET academy.

After several recruitment conversations, IT talent Ewout started at Coteng. It was a match in both directions: while Ewout deepened his .NET skills through an e-learning track, he could already get to work at Coteng.

A high-potential pool of companies, .NET experts and starting IT professionals

Time-consuming intake interviews, expensive in-house training and a long tug-of-war to bring in the best candidate. Hiring IT profiles is anything but simple. Where do you find talented IT people who perform as they should? And how do you help graduates become productive quickly in your company? When Coteng realized its recruitment question was too specific for classic recruitment agencies, it contacted Ive Verstappen, managing director of dotNET academy.

After a short introduction to their workflow, Coteng joined the dotNET knowledge community, a vibrant IT network that bridges hiring companies and starting IT professionals.

Analyzing, coding, implementing

From starting IT professional to next-level developer? Because Coteng focuses on diverse and complex software development, Ewout's career start came with in-depth, practical custom training. Writing code, designing applications, setting up projects from scratch and testing: dotNET academy combines applied e-learning with interactive group training at its office in Westerlo. After three months of intensive training and a challenging final assignment, Ewout smoothly joined Coteng's twelve-person team.

Where IT giants organize in-house bootcamps for newcomers, that is often a major cost for smaller players like Coteng. dotNET academy mapped our expectations and exceeded them with a fitting IT profile and a high-level training plan. A stable partnership with return on investment: Ewout is the best proof of that.

The sharper the expectations, the better the match. To clarify Coteng's question, Ive immediately zoomed in on the checklist the new employee had to meet: the required knowledge level, the right growth mindset, the concrete responsibilities. dotNET academy listened carefully, screened its talent pool and matched Coteng with IT junior Ewout. An efficient and fast recruitment process, because after a few interviews Ewout joined Coteng permanently. Job security? Check.

A degree, but no experience: when I graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in electronics-ICT, my practical skills were still fairly limited. Through dotNET academy, I not only started at a vibrant IT company, but could also translate my .NET skills into practice, both through e-learning and on the job. Learning and earning from day one: a successful start.
